Museum of London
On Monday 15th January and Tuesday 16th January, Year Two visited the Museum of London as part of their History unit of work on the Great Fire of London.
The children were given the opportunity to explore the 'War, Plague and Fire' exhibition where they got to observe replica houses and artefacts from the time of the fire. They saw a range of items including a stone oven, some burnt shoes and books and leather helmets and buckets. They also observed a replica model of London burning during the fire and watched a clip which taught the children about the timeline of events. It was a lovely morning and on return to school the children wrote a recount about their visit and what they'd learnt.
