Altmore Infant School

w/b 04.10.21: School is OPEN, we look forward to seeing everyone - all children must attend. The Children's Centre is also open every day.

October marks the start of Black History month.  We are looking forward to participating in this national annual celebration, honouring the accomplishments of Black Britons in every area of endeavour throughout history, across our curriculum and different areas of learning.  It will support our discussions and understanding of the issues of race and equality in our post-2020 world.

The theme of Black History Month 2021 is ‘Proud To Be…’ - focusing around Black Lives Matter. Children, will be encouraged to share their pride in their heritage, who they are, and what they are proud of.

More information can be found on the Black History Month 2021 website:

Thank you for your support in continuing to follow our COVID-19 safety rules, helping us to keep our school safe for everyone:

  • Please make sure that you follow the one-way systems, and that you are wearing a face mask when collecting your children at the end of the school day.  You will be reminded by staff if you are not wearing a mask.
  • Please remember to keep a safe distance from other parents.
  • Please continue to use Seesaw to 'talk' to your child's teacher, if you do not see them.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Thank you very much for your co-operation.
